One warm summer night
He rode into sight
On a wild mare that was so perfectly white
I'd dreamed he'd return
and I was right

One look in his eyes
I had realized
His life was so simple he had no disguise

But in these few words he stole my heart away

No scholarly thoughts, he couldn't pay high costs

Одной тёплой летней ночью
Я заприметила его,
Он ехал на абсолютно белой дикой кобыле,
Я так мечтала, чтобы он вернулся,
И я не ошиблась,
Ибо желания сбываются, если желать их всем сердцем.
С первого взгляда
Я поняла,
Как проста его жизнь, он не носил никаких масок,
Он просто жил каждым днём, и не обещал, что останется,
Но этой парой слов украл моё сердце...
Он молвил:
"Моя жизнь не стремится
К власти или жадности,
Я – всего лишь бедняк,
Если меня ранить – я буду истекать кровью,
Ты никогда не встретишь более кроткого человека,
И я отдаю тебе своё сердце, сбереги его..."
В тени ив
Мой бедный крестьянин мне обещал...
Ничего заумного, он не смог бы заплатить высокой цены,
И казалось иногда, что он полностью потерян.
Но он мне искренне сказал, он мне твёрдо сказал:
"Я поручаю тебе моё сердце с этой торжественной клятвой..."
